Your Spirit Dies announce debut album ‘My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest’

YOUR SPIRIT DIES have announced their debut album!

Titled My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest, the upcoming album from the South Carolina-based metallic hardcore band is their debut full-length album, and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via MNRK Heavy.

On the debut album, the band intend to make a defining leap forward, with standout tracks featuring collaborations from some of the scene’s fiercest voices. Dan Weyandt of ZAO brings his raw energy to Serpentine, while Blaythe Steuer of NO CURE joins the band on A Snow In Summer. Carson Pace of THE CALLOUS DAOBOYS makes an impact on the intense Night Pierces My Bones.

Speaking about the upcoming album, vocalist Brandon Byars says, “the record encapsulates every single thing we’re about. We’re five people who were born in small towns in the South. We were never supposed to leave these places; we were ‘supposed’ to live and die here. For us, the simple fact we’re doing this is huge. We tried to craft an album that stands on its own, and we busted our asses to make it as different as we possibly could.”

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, YOUR SPIRIT DIES have released a new music video from the upcoming album; In The Depths Of Grief. Speaking about the new single, Byars shares, “it’s personal. My mom is seventy-one and just got out of the hospital. This track is about watching your loved ones age, wither and eventually pass. She’s not there yet, but her heart problems are serious. When I was a teen, we clashed. I went down a rebellious path, made mistakes I can’t undo. But I’m not that angry anymore, and our relationship has never been stronger.”
