For I Am King release new cover of Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’

FOR I AM KING have released a new music video!

The new music video, a cover of KATE BUSH‘s iconic Running Up That Hill, captures the recent resurgence of the classic song through a Stranger Things inspired video.

The cover features a guest appearance from Daniël de Jongh [ex-TEXTURES, CROWN COMPASS, BLACK NAZARETH] and its release follows on from previous single, Liars, which was released last month.

“I fell heavily in love with this amazing song ever since I first heard it. Not only the music but also the lyrics and its meaning grabbed me at an early age and never let go,” frontwoman Alma explains. Guitarist Koen Scheepens adds, “after watching the fourth season of Stranger Things, we immediately felt we had to do a cover of Running Up That Hill. We all grew up in the 1980s/90s, so that era, more specifically: the clothes, the music and the horror, appealed to us enormously, and therefore that series. After seeing Eddie Munson‘s rooftop scene, we were completely unstoppable and we knew we wanted to make something similar for the music video. I’m glad we dared to as I think it’s one of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”
