Sinistro announce new album ‘Vértice’
SINISTRO have announced a new album!
Titled Vértice, the upcoming album from the Portuguese doom metal band’s is the long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Sangue Cássia, and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Alma Mater Records.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Elegia. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Pontas Soltas, which is was released back in March. The new song’s accompanying music video was directed by the talented Henrique Reis and edited & color-graded by Liv Weiss.
Speaking about the new single, the band says, “SINISTRO sees Elegia, as the most straightforward, driven song on the album while seamlessly carrying the nuanced sensibilities of a film soundtrack as in their previous albums. The theme was inspired by the poignant chronicles Mãe do verbo amar by the Portuguese writer Baptista-Bastos. Elegia is a homage to birth, existence and the enduring love of our mothers.”
