Set It Off announce new self-titled album

SET IT OFF have announed a new album!

A self-titled album, the upcoming album from the Tampa, Florida-based pop-rock/punk band is the follow-up to 2022’s Elsewhere, and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via self-release.

The self-titled album was produced by long-time friend Jon Lundin. “Once we started doing this by ourselves, the first thought I had was that I wanted to go back to that 19-year-old kid who just learnt to write music in his bedroom, writing for nobody else but himself,” says singer Cody Carson. “It has the heaviness, the pop, the rap… this album is an amalgamation of everything we’ve tried over the years. That’s why this album needs to be self-titled. Because this is SET IT OFF.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, SET IT OFF have released a new music vieo for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Rotten. The new song is the latest single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Creating MonstersFake Ass Friends, and Punching Bag.

“Our new song Rotten is about the lack of authenticity I see so often out in the world,” Carson says. “It’s about people manipulating others just because they want something from them. Then the exploiters get what they want via the synthetic sugar they’re pumping out, but eventually… it’s going to rot out their teeth and those people will see the truth.”
