Warning announce new album ‘Rituals of Shame’
WARNING have announced a brand new album!
The British doom metal legends will return with their first new album in 20 years, titled Rituals of Shame, due for release on June 19th via Relapse Records. The album is the follow-up to the band’s 2006 release Watching From A Distance, which has since become one of the most revered releases in doom metal.
Rituals Of Shame was written and recorded throughout 2025, with Walker beginning work on the album in January. Recording and mixing took place at The Arch Studio, a 140-year-old former church in Southport, UK, handled by Chris Fullard [IDLES, SUNN O))), ULVER]. The album reflects a deeply personal period in Walker’s life and continues the themes that have long defined his writing, including longing, separation, and love. Musically, the record draws from Walker’s longstanding influences, including MARILLION, JUNE TABOR, and John Brenner of REVELATION.
Alongside the announcement, WARNING have released the first track lifted from the album, titled Stations. Speaking about the new single, vocalist/guitarist Patrick Walker states, “it’s my privilege to be able to present to you the first track released from Rituals of Shame. Whether you’re among those who have been waiting for this for twenty years, or whether you’re new to my music, it is with great pleasure and some relief, that I can finally give you a taste of the album that will follow later in the year. I wrote and recorded the entire record throughout 2025. This is the year I shall have the honour of sharing it with you.”
