Spirit Mother announce new album ‘Thistle’

SPIRIT MOTHER have announced a brand new album!

The US heavy rock outfit will release their third studio album Thistle on September 4th, 2026 via Sound Of Liberation Records. The album is the follow-up to 2024’s Trails, and sees the band further developing the heavy, atmospheric direction established on their previous work.

Written, recorded and self-produced by the band, Thistle was created in a remote cabin in Eastern Oregon, where the band are now based. Drawing directly from their surroundings, the album blends fuzz-driven heaviness, grunge-inflected rock and Americana-tinged melancholy into their most immersive release to date. Further details surrounding the album’s first single and pre-orders are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
