Happy June and welcome to Distorted Sound Magazine: Issue 130! Summer is well and truly in full swing. We’ve had heatwaves, torrential rain and for us music fans, it means one thing. Festival season is back! May saw 2026’s season kick off with a bang and as we look back, we’ve curated an issue jam-packed full of killer bands to soundtrack your month!
ROMAN CANDLE are quickly establishing themselves as one of the most exciting bands in hardcore. Their debut album Unadulterated is absolutely incendiary and establishes the band as one of the year’s breakout names. The band grace our cover this month as we sit down with the band to dive into their debut album and so much more. It’s a thrilling read.
Elsewhere, we have new interviews with a wide range of bands across the heavy music spectrum; everything from Norwegian symphonic black metal titans DIMMU BORGIR through to the melancholic bliss of A.A.
