SAKI announces debut solo album ‘PLUVIA’

SAKI has announced her debut solo album!

Titled PLUVIA, the upcoming release from the Japanese metal guitarist – known for her work with NEMOPHILA and MARY’S BLOOD – is set for international release on August 26th via JPU Records, following its release in Japan through King Records. The album marks her first full-length solo effort, building on her previous instrumental releases and continuing her evolution as one of the most prominent figures in modern Japanese metal.

Featuring an impressive lineup of guest musicians, the record includes appearances from Gus G. (FIREWIND, OZZY OSBOURNE), Frédéric Leclercq (KREATOR, DRAGONFORCE), and drummer Senri Kawaguchi, further expanding the album’s global and collaborative scope.

Speaking about the album, SAKI shares, “melody was one of the most important elements while creating this album. The word ‘pluvia’ became its central theme, as rain holds a special significance for me. It has been present at every major milestone concert in my life. In Japanese culture, rain deities and dragon gods are often regarded as guardians of the arts, so over time I’ve come to see rain as a symbol of good fortune and something deeply connected to my own journey.”

Alongside the announcement, she has released the title track, PLUVIA.
