Hesperia announce new album ‘Picenum (True Marchigian Black Metal Renaissance)’
HESPERIA have announced a brand new album!
Titled Picenum (True Marchigian Black Metal Renaissance), the upcoming release from the Italian black metal one-man project is set for release on August 28th via Hammerheart Records. The record serves as the follow-up to last year’s Fra li Monti Sibillini (Black Medieval Winter over the Sibylline Mounts), expanding its concept to encompass the wider Marche region, drawing inspiration from its medieval history, folklore, and dark legends.
The album is structured across three distinct parts, exploring themes ranging from historical uprisings and cursed fortresses to regional folklore and supernatural entities, before concluding with a continuation of the Sibilline Mountains narrative established in the previous record.
Alongside the announcement, the project has released the first single, 1375, La Lega Maledetta: I Signori Da Varano Si Ribellano Alla Chiesa.
