The Machine announce new album ‘Another Sun’
THE MACHINE have announced a brand new album!
Titled Another Sun, the upcoming release from the Dutch heavy psych and stoner rock trio is set for release on October 2nd via Blues Funeral Recordings and Awe Records. The band’s eighth studio album follows 2022’s Wave Cannon and marks the first full-length release from the current line-up of David Eering, Chris Both, and Klaas Dijkstra.
Recorded in autumn 2025 at Eering‘s newly built Evolver Studio in Dordrecht, the record sees the band reconnecting with the free-flowing spirit of their earlier material while continuing to evolve their blend of stoner rock, heavy psych, progressive rock, doom, and space rock. The album artwork and design was also created by Eering himself.
Speaking about the album, Eering shares, “Another Sun is an important milestone to me personally, after a couple of years with (apparent) reduced activity of the band – it‘s the first record with this great lineup and the first one that I recorded at my own place Evolver Studio. Without the intention to do so, I think we managed to honor a more old school THE MACHINE vibe while also stepping into the future. Can’t wait for this one to be released and to play shows in support of it.”
