PREMIERE: Prey – Bearers

Distorted Sound is delighted to premiere the brand new music video from BEARERS!

The new music video, for the track Prey, is taken from the Scottish metallers’ upcoming debut album Inhumation which is scheduled to be released in September.

Speaking about the new song and its accompanying video, Jase Holmez from the band tells us, “our fourth release is, again, a different perspective on the disgust humanity can cause. Innocence is precious yet fragile. Easily manipulated and warped until that innocence is stolen. Intentional predatory behaviour ruins lives. How do these people recover? How can they recover? What’s their mentality through day to day life? Many of the ones who survive tend to make bad decisions because they don’t know what path to take. Because of this society casts them out to the point it turns in to a vicious cycle of unintended abuse. No one can really know how these people feel until they experience that sort of devastation. No one will know until they have become the Prey.

Our video looks to simulate this mental state, showing the violence, the pain and the torture these people feel. Trapped within the bloody walls of their own mind. It’s bleak and it’s dark, which is exactly why we wanted to continue working with Stephen (VanDad Tours) and Shaun (Loki Films). We all collectively come up with the best ideas, it feels natural and the end product is outrageous. Dark minds come together and make some beautifully grotesque. We can’t wait to show it to the world. Our entire album has been carefully thought out to ensure we deliver the best story to people. With the release of our album Inhumation and its release show drawing closer, we feel so humbled to be a part of this booming music scene. A lot of new and exciting bands, not just in Glasgow but the whole of the UK, are releasing some amazing music and it’s so exciting to be a part of that.”
