Andrew W.K. announces new album ‘God Is Partying’
ANDREW W.K. has announced a new album!
Titled God Is Partying, the upcoming album from the proclaimed God of partying is his fifth full-length studio album and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Napalm Records.
The upcoming album intends to embraces both the break-ups and break-downs of life, and intends to show the musician once again providing his audience with the perfect soundtrack to celebrate life in all its perplexing and euphoric intensity.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, Andrew has released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; I’m In Heaven. The new song is the second song to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Babalon, which was released in February this year.
Discussing how they constructed the video’s visual language, director Phem C. Palmer says, “a secret is no longer a secret if it isn’t being kept, and this is how we approached the spirit of meaning as it applies to the non-diegetic sound images in the I’m In Heaven video.”
