Ænigmatum release new song ‘Animus Reflection’

ÆNIGMATUM have released a brand new song!

The new song, titled Animus Reflection, is taken from the Portland, Oregon-based death metal band’s upcoming new album, Deconsecrate, which is scheduled to be released later this month, via 20 Buck Spin.

Speaking about the new song, the band says, Animus Reflection was the last track written for the album and showcases all of ÆNIGMATUM’s key elements: fast scraping black metal chords, occult death metal riffing, warped and ever-evolving bass lines, melodic passages as well as dissonant rhythms and atmospheres. This is the final piece of the puzzle where all the elements in Deconsecrate are condensed and culminate in a final showdown, yet also hint at what’s to come in the future of ÆNIGMATUM.”

For the upcoming album, the drums and some of the rhythm guitars were engineered by Charlie Koryn at Toadhouse Studio, the rest of the rhythm as well as lead guitars, bass, drums, and vocals were engineered by the band’s Brian Rush at various locations. The album was re-amped by Leon Del Muerte [IMPALED] at Beastman Audio, mixed by Charlie Koryn at The Underworld Studio, mastered by Julian Silva at On-Air Mastering, and completed with surreal artwork by Ivory Crux [VOIDCEREMONY] and layout by Dan Fried.
