Air Drawn Dagger announce new EP ‘Songs To Fight The Gods To’

AIR DRAWN DAGGER have announced a new EP!

Titled Songs To Fight The Gods To, the upcoming EP from the Sheffield-based electro-emo, angst-pop trio is their brand new EP, and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Silent Cult Records.

The upcoming EP was recorded with Neil Kennedy [CREEPER, BOSTON MANOR] at The Ranch Studios. The five new tracks cover topics of decrowning the patriarchy, the uncertainty of destiny, and rallying against a capitalist hellscrape, and embrace influences from 2000s emo, such as MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and PARAMORE, to the 808 beats and synth elements of hip-hop and EDM production.

Alongside the announcement of the new EP, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming EP; You Should Have Known Better. Speaking about the new song, vocalist Maisie says, “this song is the perfect track to decrown the patriarchy to. At the heart of it, it’s a song about feminine rage but it’s truly for anyone who knows all too well that burning in the centre of your chest that makes you want to scream and cry but if you start you might never stop. For anyone spoken down to, belittled and overlooked. Get angry, let loose and scream like a banshee.”
