Anberlin announce new album ‘CURRENCY’
ANBERLIN have announced a brand new album!
The Florida alternative rock outfit have revealed their new album, CURRENCY, which is scheduled for release via Equal Vision Records. The upcoming record marks the band’s ninth studio album and the first full-length release to feature Matty Mullins as lead vocalist, following his recording debut on two tracks from 2024’s Vega. Produced by the band alongside Kellen McGregor (MEMPHIS MAY FIRE), the album sees ANBERLIN embracing both their legacy and a new creative chapter.
Speaking about the album, Mullins shares, “the overall theme of CURRENCY is what happens after everything you built your identity on falls apart. It’s a journey through heartbreak, loss, addiction, shame, and the lies we tell ourselves. Instead of staying in the wreckage, it’s about finding the strength to face the truth, let go of what was killing you, and become someone new. I believe that healing doesn’t begin when the pain ends, it begins when you finally stop running from it.”
To coincide with the announcement, ANBERLIN have also unveiled NEVERAFTER, the latest single to be taken from the upcoming record, alongside an accompanying music video directed by drummer Nathan Young and Jacob Moniz.
