Birthmarks release new music video for ‘True Love Will Find You In The End’

BIRTHMARKS have released a new music video!

The new music video, for a cover of Daniel Johnston‘s True Love Will Find You In The End, showcases the band performing the track live at The Bookhouse in London.

Speaking about the cover, vocalist Daniel Cross says, “Daniel Johnston was one of my biggest influences as a songwriter and the sad news of his passing will leave a black cloud over this year. As with many people my age, I was first introduced to him through the medium of a t-shirt. Not a typical introduction, but he was not a typical artist. Johnston was innovative, beautiful and sincere. True Love Will Find You In The End is a masterpiece, the lyrics are a true journey that is optimistic, sober, comforting and painfully honest.

We wanted to capture the song live to emulate Johnston‘s recording technique and vulnerability, though I’d imagine with his instinctual playing he would have had it down a lot faster than us. His music has become a friend over the years and I’m forever grateful for the door that he left open to such a delicate world.”
