Black Stone Cherry announce new album ‘Family Tree
BLACK STONE CHERRY have announced a brand new album!
The upcoming album, titled Family Tree, is the sixth effort from the band and is scheduled to be released in April this year! The upcoming album was self-produced and tracked by the band at David Barrick‘s Barrick Recording in Glasgow, KY, the same studio where they recorded their debut. The band also opted to not over-rehearse upfront of the album sessions, instead preferring the immediacy and spontaneity of in-the-moment takes and also entrusted frontman Chris Robertson to mix the songs. Speaking about the upcoming album, drummer John Fred says, “Family Tree showcases all of our collective musical influences and how we have taken those to create something that is truly our own unique Southern American rock ‘n roll sound.” Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released the first single from the upcoming record; titled Burnin’.
