Cauldron announce debut album ‘Suicide In The City’

CAULDRON have announced their debut album!

Titled Suicide In The City, the upcoming album from the Birmingham-based metallic hardcore band is their debut full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via The Coming Strife Records/Ephyra Records.

The upcoming debut is a concept album based around a group therapy session in Seattle run by the main character of the story, Tristram St. Claire. Interweaving throughout are the stories of characters from the group, making an in-depth tale ladened with the physical and mental struggles of all involved. The concept draws from vocalist Frazer Cassling‘s experiences and struggles with mental health, portrayed through characters, as he pulled himself through the lowest time of his life. “The album’s concept was conceived during the worst period of my life,” states Cassling. “The story is laced with things I needed to write to myself. During this time I was diagnosed with OCD, and this really changed the shape of where the album was going. The lyrics are ultra-personal, whilst being really story-focused.”

The upcoming debut album was recorded at Lower Lane Studios by producer Sam Bloor and was mastered by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering [ITHACA, STATIC DRESS, ROLO TOMASSI].

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming debut; Rejection Pact.
