Clutch announce new album ‘Sunrise On Slaughter Beach’

CLUTCH have announced a new album!

Titled Sunrise On Slaughter Beach, the upcoming album from the band is the follow-up to 2018’s Book Of Bad Decisions, and is scheduled to be released in September this year, via Weathermaker Music. The news of the upcoming album comes on the back of the release of singles Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone) and We Strive For Excellence, both of which will appear on the upcoming album.

The upcoming album was recorded at the The Magpie Cage Recording Studio, Baltimore, MD, produced and mixed by Grammy-nominated Tom Dalgety [GHOST, ROYAL BLOOD, PIXIES] with additional engineering by J Robbins [JAWBREAKER, AGAINST ME!, THE SWORD].

Drummer Jean-Paul Gaster initially thought album thirteen would be an opposite reaction to the polarisation and uncertainty of the pandemic years. Perhaps something more upbeat, in the vein of 2013’s Earth Rocker. “The more the songs took shape, the less I saw that kind of an album. Something different took shape. The record we ended up with is, in some ways, the most different record we’ve made in a long time.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, you can view both the track list and artwork for the upcoming new album below:

  1. Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)
