Crypta release new music video for ‘A Portrait of Decay’

CRYPTA have released a new music video!

The Brazilian death metal quartet have unveiled A Portrait Of Decay, their first new music since the release of 2023’s Shades Of Sorrow. The new standalone single marks the recording debut of guitarist Victoria Villarreal, who joined the band permanently earlier this year, completing the lineup alongside vocalist/bassist Fernanda Lira, drummer Luana Dametto and guitarist Tainá Bergamaschi.

Speaking about the accompanying music video, drummer Luana Dametto shares, “the video clip is both an almost poetic contrast to the harsh death metal sound but also a cinematic depiction of the lyrics: An ethereal and almost dream-like landscape that represents someone’s true state of being, clear thoughts and light emotions, that slowly dissipate with the passing of time and changing of surroundings, and with the night and a much darker environment, after a while, feelings of being adrift and astray arise, showing that our conditions and time can directly change the way we see ourselves and the way we feel and interact.”
