Damnation Festival announce final three bands

Damnation Festival have announced the final three bands for this year’s festival!

Following the last announcement, which saw the likes of MAYBESHEWILLNORDIC GIANTSCOFFIN MULCH confirmed, now, the final three bands have been announced for the annual metal festival in Manchester this November.

American metalcore stalwarts UNEARTH will perform their classic album, The Oncoming Storm, as a world exclusive set at Damnation whilst UK brutal death metallers CREPITATION complete the lineup for the main event, and English black metallers NINKHARSAG complete the Friday pre-show A Night of Salvation.

Speaking about the announcement, festival organiser Gavin McInally says, “watching the beautiful carnage unfold during Jane Doe last year, it got us thinking how we could up the ante and get our 40-year-old moshers windmilling out of retirement again to relive their youth. The fact it’s UNEARTH playing The Oncoming Storm in the late afternoon when everyone is still full of energy, is going to be a sight to behold. Those riffs on The Great Dividers, Predetermined Sky and False Idols were the soundtrack to many of our lives 20 years ago so it’s a real honour to have UNEARTH perform the album once and once only, at Damnation.

We’re also delighted to add CREPITATION to round off the Damnation line-up in suitably brutal fashion. With COFFIN MULCH, STRIGOI, UNDEATH, ROTTEN SOUND, ANAAL NATHRAKH and now CREPITATION involved, we hope our fans who enjoy the most unforgiving side of Damnation can savour a full day of extreme metal.

It’s been a lot of fun having a bigger pre-event to work with, not only to book special album sets, but also to book a black metal focused stage to give outstanding bands like NINKHARSAG a platform in an arena, and host the Church Road Records Stage to showcase the talents of an impressive independent label. There has been some confusion over whether Damnation is now two days, but it’s not, these are two events ticketed separately and entirely optional, should anyone just want to attend Damnation on the Saturday, or vice versa. We’re aiming to push doors to after 3pm on the Friday to allow travelling fans to check in at hotels first also. We’ll confirm exact timings over the next couple of weeks.”
