Damnation Festival announce five new bands

Five new bands have been announced for this year’s Damnation Festival!

Following last month’s announcement, which saw the likes of BLEEDING THROUGH, NAILS, THE RUINS OF BEVERAST, GATECREEPER and more announced, now, another five bands have been announced for this year’s festival!

Leading the charge in the new announcement is British black metal legends CRADLE OF FILTH, who headline the festival with an exclusive ‘old school ritual performance’ where they will revisit classics from their back catalogue as The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh celebrates its 30th anniversary and Nymphetamine will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Also confirmed is US sludge metallers INTER ARMA, death metal combo FUMING MOUTH and 200 STAB WOUNDS, as well as psychedelic doom metallers REZN.

Speaking about the new announcement, festival organiser Gavin McInally says, “CRADLE OF FILTH have been an iconic part of the UK extreme metal landscape for the past three decades so our paths crossing has been long overdue. Given Damnation now has the scale to offer the theatre of the band’s live show the space it deserves, I’m sure this will be the most eye-catching performance we’ve had the pleasure of hosting. The fact the soundtrack to that theatre will be their old school black metal classics, and the hits we grew up with on MTV2 and Scuzz, will mean a memorable close to the 2024 festival.

Fans have been calling for the return of INTER ARMA since they packed Leeds in 2019 so we’re delighted to have them with us in Manchester while FUMING MOUTH and 200 STAB WOUNDS represent some of the most exciting new death metal coming out of America right now. As always we like to keep the bill as eclectic as possible, and if getting lost in a dreamy stoner riff is more your vibe, REZN fortunately have an arsenal of them. We have more big names to join this bill, but we’re already reaching the 50 per cent sold out mark, so if this takes your fancy, don’t sit on the fence too long or you might be left there.”
