Damnation Festival reveal three new bands

Three more bands have been revealed for this year’s Damnation Festival!

Following the announcement that saw doom titans MY DYING BRIDE and the intriguing SO HIDEOUS join the festival billing back in June, now, the final three bands for the one-day metal festival in Manchester have been announced!

American death metal heavyweights MISERY INDEX and Austrian party thrashers INSANITY ALERT will both play exclusive UK shows at this year’s festival whilst French post-rock BRUIT ≤ round up a stacked lineup featuring the likes of MINISTRY, CONVERGE, PIG DESTROYER, WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, INCANTATION and more. Unfortunately, due to a change in their touring plans, DESTRUCTION will no longer play the event.

Speaking about the final announcement, festival organiser Gavin McInally says, “we’ve thrown the kitchen sink at this line-up for our arena move and we’re delighted to round it off with MISERY INDEX and INSANITY ALERT doing one-off UK shows, as well as tempting BRUIT back across the Channel for some post-rock brilliance. The bill is now complete, ticket sales are heading for a sell out and we have nine weeks to make sure that this year isn’t just the biggest Damnation, but also the best one too. We’ll have news about the Friday event, A Night of Salvation, coming very soon.”

Alongside the final band announcement, the festival have also announced merch giants Pins & Knuckles Merchandise as a new sponsor alongside Holy Goat Brewing and Eyesore Merch. Gavin adds, “we’re excited about having a merch partner on board with a team as deeply rooted in the metal scene as we are. Expect big ideas from those guys, including legacy shirts from previous events and an array of new Damnation merch.”
