Destroy Planets release new track by track guide for ‘Mass X Gravity’

DESTROY PLANETS have released a new track by track guide for their upcoming EP!

British metallers DESTROY PLANETS are set to climb new heights with the release of their brand new EP, Mass X Gravity, which arrives this Friday. Ahead of the release of their brand new EP, we exclusively asked the band for a track by track breakdown.

Ikon

Ikon kicks the door down with its electrifying sound of composed synth and seven string riffs for that kickass sound. Tanya’s catchy lyrics over the chorus combined with the killer guitar riff can be easily remembered making it an easy contender for the favourite of the EP.

Stars

Brutal riffs, melodic chorus, ripping solo, this song has it all! Adam’s technical and creative writing style really shows and correlates with Tanya’s vocal harmonies giving that punch in the face and punch in the feels effect. This song will have you craving more.

Immortal

It started with Aaron checking his guitar was in tune, he played the opening chords and the rest is history. The destructive sound and gripping lead lines further demonstrates the unstoppable force of this track, “No one lives forever, but we can’t die”.

Absolution

A difficult song to write for the EP and there was a lot of variation before our final decision. The main hook was originally an outro to another song and tempo was much faster before being locked in but now a clinically punchy track with clever dynamic breaks.

Bed of Lies

This song means a lot to each member and that raw emotion and power can be heard throughout Bed of Lies. Performing this song starts a journey that really lets us connect with our audience on another level, we all struggle in life, but we walk together after this one.

Save Yourselves

Tanya’s beautifully compiled use of stunning cleans, and fierce screams erupt in the chorus and that infused with the rhythmic beat really gets you moving. This song certainly demonstrates Tanya’s unique and raw vocal style packed with all her emotion and energy taking this song to the next level.

Mass X Gravity is set for release on August 23rd via self-release.
