Die Ego release new track by track guide for ‘Culto’

DIE EGO have released a new track by track guide for their upcoming debut album!

Titled Culto, the upcoming debut album from highly-rated UK metal crew DIE EGO is set to be released this Friday (June 12th.) A fierce blend of contemporary heavy metal that draws from everyone from PANTERA and METALLICA, through to SLIPKNOT and ALICE IN CHAINS, ahead of the album’s release we asked the band for an exclusive track by track breakdown of the album:

Culto

The track opens up the record with an eerie intro that creeps and tenses every muscle of your body until the band kicks in like a bulldozer. Aggressive guitars and vocals lead the way through the verses to a melodic pre-chorus that exploits into a gigantic sing along chorus.

Anger Is Yours

A straight to the point, punch in your face track with drums and bass flowing along a furious guitar riff. The stoner/ doom influenced breakdown at the end of the song is the perfect relief for all the anger and pain that the lyrics talk about.

Demons Have Demons

Demons Have Demons has one of those guitar riffs that will stick in your head for days! Along with drums and bass pounding together towards an anthemic sing along chorus, this song tics all the boxes to become one of the band classics. Video to follow soon.

Treatment of Silence

Bouncy and groovy, invites the listener to headbang until the head falls apart. With a solid and tight beat, this track feels like a hammer hitting an anvil.

There Is No Tomorrow

The most melodic track of the album. A sinister riff accompanied by an extraordinary drum beat that will keep you in a state of suspense. Melancholic and moody lyrics with a glimpse of anger, which builds up momentum to a face melting solo that gives the song a sense of hope.

The Grave

With lyrics inspired in a horror novel, this song puts you in a journey that leads to one place only, The Grave. The big intro riff and heavy verses progress reaching climax with an explosive breakdown. Drums burst a ritualistic beat while guitar and bass dive into a sludgy and dirty riff, it feels there’s no way out of this grave.

Don’t Get Close

Hard and obscure from the first second, Don’t Get Close give you a sense of alienation and bitterness only broken in chorus where the character described in the lyrics spits it all out in a huge chorus you can’t help but join singing. Groovy and full of malice.

I Promise

Dark and hypnotic, I Promise is the perfect track to close the album. Slow and driven guitars riffs working in perfect harmony with a more progressive style pre-chorus. When chorus hits, song becomes an instant banger. Guitar solo has a psychedelic touch held by an intense and solid rhythm section. Epic!”

Culto is set for release on June 12th via self-release.
