Dollar Signs announce new album ‘Hearts of Gold’

DOLLAR SIGNS have announced a new album!

Titled Hearts of Gold, will be the quintet’s third studio album. The forthcoming album is set for release in March this year via their new home at Pure Noise Records.

About the album, Erik Button (vocals/guitar) says, “The album is about recognising the need to change in your life, and how difficult it is to make that change happen,” they continue. “When we were writing and recording it, I don’t think any of us anticipated just how much change would occur in the following year. This is the first DOLLAR SIGNS record where we were able to write all the songs together.”

Alongside the announcement DOLLAR SIGNS have released a new music for the new single BAD NEWS. The band, who are considered genre less for their ability to fall in between punk, pop, and sometimes hip-hop allow listeners to choose where to put them. In this case they have opted to follow through with where most people place them, as a boozy punk band.

“Many people see us as a boozy punk band, so I had the idea of writing a song with a very party-drink-the-saddest-away chorus while the verses and bridge are a critique on bars and “drinking culture”, “The chorus of the song is about trying to drink away your problems, and the verses reveal all about how that is impossible.”
