Download Festival announces 37 new bands

37 more bands have been announced for next year’s Download Festival!

After previously announcing headliners KISSIRON MAIDEN and SYSTEM OF A DOWN as well as the likes of GOJIRADISTURBEDBLACK VEIL BRIDES and more, now, 37 more bands have been announced for next year’s festival!

Leading the charge in this evening’s mammoth announcement is Danish rockers VOLBEAT, metalcore royalty KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, Japanese metal sensations BABYMETAL, and hard rockers THE PRETTY RECKLESS. Also confirmed is AIRBOURNESKILLETBARONESSLITBUSH, WEDNESDAY 13BRITISH LIONELECTRIC WIZARDDYING FETUSOBITUARYPERIPHERYPUPTINY MOVING PARTSP.O.DSTONE BROKEN,

Rounding off the mammoth announcement is BLACKOUT PROBLEMS, BLEED FROM WITHIN, CELLAR DOOR MOON CROW, CHELSEA GRIN, DEAD LABEL, DEAD POSEY, LOTUS EATER, MARIANAS TRENCH, POWERWOLF, PUPPY, THEORY, THE LAST INTERNATIONALE, THE WILDHEARTS, and UNCURED who all join the Download lineup.

Speaking about performing at next year’s festival, VOLBEAT says, “we are very excited to return to Donington Park once again to rock with all of our friends in the UK alongside so many great bands. See you in June!” Jesse Leach from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE adds, “we are honoured and excited to play the mighty Download Festival once again! We are ready to kick out our new songs and play the old anthems as well! Download crowds are always incredible and we are eager to bring the mother fucking ruckus!”

SU-METAL of BABYMETAL also says, “the crowd at Download Festival always welcomes us with a lot of energy so I can’t wait to perform there again! We hope to bring even more power and energy so please look forward to our performance!”
