Drag Talk announce new album ‘Drink The Ocean’

DRAG TALK have announced a brand new album!

The Los Angeles alternative rock outfit have revealed their debut album, Drink The Ocean, which is scheduled for release on October 30th via MNRK Heavy. The upcoming record follows the band’s Dogs EP in 2023 and 2024’s Rosy Crown EP, marking the first full-length release from the fast-rising group.

Built around vocalist Jutty Taylor, the album blends 90s alternative rock, shoegaze, Britpop, dream-pop and psych influences into a sound the band have made distinctly their own. Produced by longtime collaborator Tom Syrowski and recorded between his Los Angeles home studio and Hollywood’s Henson Studios, Drink The Ocean explores themes of injustice, femininity and spirituality, while drawing inspiration from acts such as SWERVEDRIVER, THE VERVE and THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN.

To coincide with the announcement, DRAG TALK have also unveiled Pony Up, the lead single from the forthcoming album..

The album also features guest appearances from Brendan O’Brien (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, AC/DC), who performs Hammond organ on the title track, and Olivia Morreale of GHOST, who provides backing vocals on Welcome To The Aeon.
