Drain announce new album ‘Living Proof’

DRAIN have announced a new album!

Titled Living Proof, the upcoming album from the American hardcore band is the follow-up to 2020’s California Cursed, and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via Epitaph Records.

The upcoming album was produced by longtime friend and multi-instrumentalist Taylor Young [GOD’S HATE, SUICIDE SILENCE] and mixed by John Markson [DRUG CHURCH, KOYO].

Speaking about the upcoming album, vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro says, “I hope with this record that when someone hears it, it gives them hope. This is the soundtrack of perseverance and people overcoming the naysayers in their world and inside themselves. I can’t wait to play these songs and hear a room full of people singing back to us. We’re what the title says, the Living Proof.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Evil Finds Light. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Watch You Burn which was released back in August 2021.

Speaking about the new song, Ciaramitaro says, “While DRAIN channels a rule-free chaos/party vibe through our live show, I am actually somewhat of a stress case [laughs]. I get pretty wound up sometimes and so lyrically, I just tried to tap into those feelings and paint a picture of the way I feel and the way that stress can sometimes make me see my world a little bit different than it actually is. While the song is completed, managing the stress is still a work in progress.”
