echochamber release new song ‘save me’

ECHOCHAMBER have released a new single!

The Bristol alternative rock outfit have unveiled save me, a brand new single released via Year Of The Rat Records. The new track follows previous releases nothingchanges, fall apart, and netherworld, and continues the band’s blend of 2000s emo influences, nu-gaze textures and alternative rock.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Jamie Fitzpatrick shares, “save me is a fictional story about a man and a woman who are in an extremely toxic relationship and are constantly bringing out the worst in each other. The lyrics reflect aspects of their endless arguments and fights they both are going through in what feels like every single day.

The story starts with a voicemail left by the woman in this story who is now trying and failing to get hold of the man in an attempt to fix things after yet another fight where this time around he’s stormed out and disappeared, she hasn’t seen him in a long time.

Originally titled ‘why can’t a bullet save me’ then shortened to ‘save me’ the song is framed around our main character who is now held up in a motel room alone for an undefined amount of time on his own drowning his sorrows with a gun and considering ending it all. All while stewing on the constant battles and clashes with his partner and wondering if it will ever work out.

Although the story itself is fictional it heavily draws from real feelings and is loosely based on true events from past failed relationships to help bring this story to life and we hope that a lot of people out there can relate to this song as we feel a lot of people out there will have been through something similar at some point in their life.”
