Epica announce new studio album & launch own music festival
EPICA have announced their new album, and are launching their own festival!
Dutch symphonic metallers EPICA have confirmed details of their new upcoming studio album, entitled The Holographic Principle. Produced by Joost van der Broek at Sandlane Recording Facilities and mixed by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, DESTRUCTION), it also features cover artwork created by Stefan Heilemann.
The band commented:
“Our highly anticipated seventh studio album is a fact. The Holographic Principle feels to us like a true treasure, created by us all with blood, sweat and tears of joy. In the past year we have worked very hard to write and record this special album. We are all very eager to share it with you! Join us on our new musical journey.”
To celebrate the release of EPICA‘s brand-new record fittingly, the band will also be playing on their own Epic Metal Fest at The 013 in Tilburg, NL on Saturday, October 1st. Joining them on the bill will be KATATONIA, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, TEXTURES, STREAM OF PASSION, THE AGONIST, MAYAN, MYRATH, EVIL INVADERS and OFF THE CROSS.
A Brazilian edition of Epic Metal Fest is also set to take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Saturday 15th October. PARADISE LOST, FINNTROLL, XANDRIA and THE OCEAN will join EPICA for this first edition.
