Fortress Festival announce two new bands
Two new bands have been announced for next year’s Fortress Festival!
Following earlier this month’s announcement, which saw the likes of TRIPTYKON, WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER and more announced, now, two more bands have been announced for next year’s black metal festival!
In the new announcement, Icelandic black metallers MISÞYRMING will perform as a second stage headliner, whilst Dutch atmospheric black metallers FLUISTERAARS will perform in an exclusive UK performance.
Speaking about performing at next year’s festival, FLUISTERAARS says, “after Iceland, we are looking forward to playing on another island. Again, an island full of mythical history that we hope to get a taste of. We will play a set with various songs from our entire oeuvre. We’ll see you there.”
Gary Stephenson, Fortress Festival organiser and Reaper Agency UK founder, adds, “drenched in raw atmospherics and folkloric mysticism, and with three incredible full-length albums and many other EP & split releases in their pocket, it is finally happening; After 15 long years, FLUISTERAARS are coming to perform live in the UK at Fortress Festival ’24. The band have only performed live once in their career, and besides their forthcoming 2024 performance at Roadburn, Fortress Festival is currently their only planned live show. We are honoured to welcome the band to this prestigious and exclusive line-up of black metal acts from around the world.”
Fortress Festival takes place at Scarborough Spa, Scarborough from 1st June – 2nd June 2024. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
