Fractal Universe reveal album details for ‘Rhizomes of Insanity’

FRACTAL UNIVERSE have unveiled new details about their upcoming record!

Back in December of last year, the French progressive death metallers had announced they have signed with Metal Blade Records to release their new effort, Rhizomes of Insanity, but now, new details about their upcoming effort has been revealed.

The new album will be released in April this year and speaking about the album, vocalist/guitarist Vince Wilquin says, “Rhizomes of Insanity is a concept album based on a thought experiment around the concept of insanity. It questions the origins of it, and tries to define where we set its boundaries with ‘reason’. It eventually questions its place in our modern society and surmises that it has turned into an intrinsic, unavoidable but also necessary part of it and of every human being, which we’re trying to repress at all costs.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album details, the band have released a new music video for the first single from the upcoming record; titled Oneiric Realisations. Speaking about the song and its accompanying music video, the band says, “directed by Vincent Tournaud, the video was shot during two days of October 2018 at l’Autre Canal in Nancy, France. A special attention was given to the lightings and color grading, which were designed to both match with the album artwork and catch the particular atmosphere of the song.”
