Gåte release new music video for ‘Sannsiger’
GÅTE have released a new music video!
The Norwegian folk rock band have unveiled Sannsiger, their first release since signing to Season of Mist. The track is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming sixth studio album, due for release in October 2026, and arrives alongside an official video directed by Maja Holand.
On the new single and their signing to Season of Mist, the band states, “signing with Season of Mist reflects a shared ambition to work without compromise and with a long‑term vision for reaching an international audience. The title of our new single, Sannsiger, is a figure who is found in folklore and belief systems across cultures. They are understood as someone who interprets signs, visions and divine messages, in order to foresee what lies ahead. Within the context of this song, they also represent those who dare to speak uncomfortable truths. Throughout history, and still today, such voices have often been silenced, punished or attacked for challenging what others wish to keep hidden.”
The track features Hardanger fiddle and nyckelharpa woven into the band’s contemporary rock sound and includes a guest appearance from HEILUNG vocalist Maria Franz, who says, “Sannsiger hit me from the very first moment that I heard it. The song’s raw energy immediately resonated with me. I’ve been a fan of GÅTE for many years, so accepting the invitation was a no‑brainer. The band were wonderful to work with, and I’m very excited to hear the rest of their upcoming album.”
