Ghøstkid release new music video for ‘Heavy Rain’

GHØSTKID have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Heavy Rain, is the brand new single from the project (helmed by Sebastien ‘Sushi’ Biesler) and follows on from their previous single, Hollywood Suicide, which was released back in June.

Speaking about the new single, the band says,Heavy Rain was written during a time when I felt utterly miserable…Even if the story of the song is written from the perspective of two lovers who are in a relationship it represents so much more. It is based on experiences that I have made over the past years and sadly I believe a lot of people can relate to them.

It is hard to find good people who really respect and love you the way you are. You should always be aware of people that abuse you just to make them feel superior. At some point you learn to deal with the pain, slowly it becomes a part of you – until the person you used to be no longer exists.

Heavy Rain describes the feeling of losing yourself under abuse and manipulation by a loved one. It is for everybody out there who had to to go through similar feelings. Try to stay strong and break the cycle. Search for help and do not let yourself down. You are a good and valuable person and no one can take this away from you. You are not alone! This song is for you.”

I just recently found this song and have since familiarized myself with the music of Ghostkid. This is a very meaningful song and video for me. I have been liberated from a very violent relationship since April 14, 2023. This being, my abuser is currently in jail, awaiting sentencing for attempting to take my life. If Sebastian is the songwriter, he captured EVERY aspect of a toxic relationship. I almost feel my skin crawl when I listen to the song because it’s spot on. And the video?!?! Psssssh….He captured “the look” of desperation and hopeless as “Valerie”. I’m don’t know much a out this band but I can say that I’m grateful and respect the band to the utmost for portraying the ungodly truth of being trapped in such a nightmare. I’m a fan now, not just because of that song but because their music is off the hook heavy! Also, I’m a fan of Electric Callboy, so that helped.
Thank you, Sebastian…for your exposure of this gutwrenching subject.
