GILT release new music videos for ‘Spit Out Into A Ditch…’ and ‘…On The Side Of The New Jersey Turnpike’

GILT have released new music videos!

The Florida nu emocore band have unveiled a double single, Spit Out Into A Ditch… and …On The Side Of The New Jersey Turnpike, both taken from their upcoming new album I Saw Myself In The Black Screen, which is set for release on June 26th via Smartpunk Records.

Speaking about Spit Out Into A Ditch…, vocalist/guitarist Tyler Fieldhouse shares, Spit Out Into A Ditch… is a no-frills screamo track that I wrote, reimagining the tragically passed Ian Curtis [JOY DIVISION] as a spirit of vengeance, finding new purpose in taking a Killdozer approach to a world that turned his art into commodity. The title of the song comes from what happens after you finish taking control of the title character in Being John Malkovich, a film that also explores forcing yourself on the world instead of giving up on your life, for better or worse.”

On …On The Side Of The New Jersey Turnpike, the band add, …On The Side Of The New Jersey Turnpike was written by Asha and weaves a droning nu-metal 1-note-riff with classic metalcore. ‘Why play dead when you can play God’ actualizes into a first-person power fantasy of violently dismantling power structures.”
