Gloo announce debut album ‘A Pathetic Youth’

GLOO have announced their debut album!

The album, titled A Pathetic Youth, was recorded at Smalltown American Studios in DerryNorthern Ireland, and is scheduled for release in July. Speaking about the album, drummer Mark Harfield says, “Smalltown asked if we had an album to record, to which we said yes. In reality we only had about five or six tracks ready. We were working round the clock to have an album’s worth of tracks ready ahead of our flight! To be honest, the pressure forced out some serious bangers. If we had loads of time to mess about with ideas we would have ruined a few songs!”

Alongside the album announcement, the band have also released a music video for new track Holiday, which features on the upcoming album. Speaking about the video, drummer Mark Harfield says, “sticking true to our guns in true Littlehampton style, we wanted the video to be cheesy and home video-esque. It was shot around where all three of us live and took about three hours. Sonny, our friend, was kind enough to follow us around with my iPhone for the day and record us doing stupid sh*t – he even had to pedalo on his own to film us on our boat! We wanted it to look grey and dingy, and just to our luck it did!”
