Go Ahead And Die announce debut self-titled album

GO AHEAD AND DIE have announced their debut album!

The upcoming album, a self-titled effort, from the band (featuring vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera joining forces with his son, singer, guitar and bass player Igor Amadeus Cavalera as well as Zach Coleman) is their debut full-length effort and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Nuclear Blast Records.

The self-titled debut sees Max and Igor splitting guitar and vocal duties, with drumming from Zach Coleman of blistering band BLACK CURSE and KHEMMIS. The vocals weren’t tracked over and over in the pursuit of some kind of ‘perfect’ takes, and Coleman didn’t play to a click-track. Engineer Charles Elliot captured the sessions with the help of Platinum Underground Studio owner John Aquilino. The album was mixed by Arthur Rizk, whose credits include POWER TRIP, CRO-MAGS, and CAVALERA CONSPIRACY. The artwork for the album was created by Stewart Easton while the circle logo was created by Jeff Walker [CARCASS].

Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for the first song lifted from the upcoming record; Truckload Full Of Bodies. The new music video was directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera, and speaking about the new song, Max Cavalera says, Truckload Full of Bodies is a dark x-ray of the COVID-19 pandemic. It examines the way certain politicians in 2020 didn’t care about their citizens. Hypocrites took care of themselves, and did not care about the rest of us dying.”

Igor Amadeus adds, “like a riot breaking through your windows, Go Ahead And Die arrives with a revolting mix of punk and metal, the perfect soundtrack to these dismal times.” Zach Coleman comments, Truckload Full of Bodies is a battering ram and fist in the face of those in power who had no problem watching so many people die. I think it perfectly sets the tone for the album.”
