Immortal to start recording new album this month

Black metal behemoths IMMORTAL have begun the recording work on their upcoming album!

The as-of-yet untitled ninth album is the next chapter in the discography of the band, coming seven years after 2009’s All Shall Fall. The upcoming album will also be the first without frontman Abbath, who left in 2015 to embark on his solo career following an on-going legal battle of the rights of the band name with the other members. Speaking about the upcoming album, the band comments, “The songs have been ready for some time, but we wanted to record it at the right place and time. We will once again work with Peter Tägtgren at Abyss Studio, who has produced our last four albums. The band will enter the studio during wintertime to ensure we have the right atmosphere. We look forward to recording and presenting the new album to the IMMORTAL hordes sometime in 2017. The tracks that will appear on the album are: Northern Chaos Gods, ‘Into Battle RideGates To Blashyrkh, Blacker Of Worlds, Where Mountains Rise, Grim And Dark, Called To Ice, and Ravendark.”

We will bring you more information on the upcoming album as we get it.
