InTechnicolour release new music video for ‘Turn It Loose’

INTECHNICOLOUR have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Turn It Loose, is taken from the UK rock band’s upcoming new album, Midnight Heavyweight, which is scheduled to be released on Friday.

Speaking about the new music video, director/animator Amy Lucas says, “the animation for Turn It Loose focuses on each of INTECHNICOLOUR‘s fears. The meaning of the song explores how, over time, dark depressive feelings can become comfortable and complex second homes. I explored that by forming worlds around each of the band member’s individual fears for the viewers to dive into. We all have our own ‘worry worlds’, and often they are sharp thoughts that dwell in the backs of our heads going round and round with no resolution. I found it interesting to put colour, substance and ground to these worries. Maybe visualising our troubles can help us see our anxieties for what they are, our own brilliant imaginations fuelling our own worry.

On stage, the visuals are out of focus, confusing and constrictive. I took every opportunity to make viewers feel uncomfortable. Each world has an epic backdrop to match the magnitude of the fear. Flesh-eating plants, deep-sea horrors, savage wasp swarms and electric wormy graveyards scattered with discarded dolls heads all made the cut. It feels unique to the band, obviously without them writing this bop, and having these fears, the final video would never have come about. Thanks INTECHNICOLOUR! Thanks for sharing your fears with me, I hope I haven’t left anyone traumatised.”
