Hailing from Glasgow are post hardcore/metalcore quintet, TENEMENTS. The members – Darren Coles (vocals), Chris Bennett (guitar and vocals), Callum Nicolson (guitar), Malcolm Robb (bass), and Jamie Whiteside (drums and vocals) – bring together their real life experiences, pour it into an array of energetic riffs, passion, and thought-provoking lyrics.

Influenced by everything they listen to, they specifically take inspiration from UNDEROATH, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, and ARCHITECTS, to name a few, but nothing is off limits when writing new music.  In their own words, the band says, “each piece of music we write is a journey of honesty and passion with our influences and inspiration sewn firmly into our sleeves. Each and every note we throw at you is meticulously planned as if it could be our last.”

In 2018, TENEMENTS will be releasing their debut EP, with five stellar tracks bursting full of dynamic riffs. In the meantime, fans can listen to their new single Standing On The Backs Of Angels via Flare and Flame Records. It explores toxic relationships, and the breaking point that inevitably comes, relatable emotions to many listeners, offering a chance to share those feelings. Standing On The Back Of Angels also serves as a message for everyone who has been in such relationships to stand strong.

In August, they played their debut gig supporting DEAD! in Glasgow, and in November, TENEMENTS will be embarking on their first headline tour to eleven of the UK’s finest venues. They are at the start of a very promising journey, a strong single, dedication, and keen musical insight could prove a winning combination for TENEMENTS.
