Karnataka announce new album ‘Requiem For A Dream’

KARNATAKA have announced a new album!

Titled Requiem For A Dream, the upcoming album from the Welsh progressive rock band is the long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s Secrets Of Angels, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Immrama Records.

The upcoming album was mixed by Joe Gibb [MASSIVE ATTACK, THE CURE etc] and features the beautiful uilleann pipes and low whistle of special guest and long-term band collaborator, Troy Donockley from NIGHTWISH.

“The album explores themes of personal adversity, loss, despair and forgiveness, experienced through the prism of global chaos, climate change and environmental destruction,” says bassist/acoustic guitarist Ian Jones and vocalist Sertari. ”A beautiful world slowly dying and tinged with fear, yet grasping for hope. We are reminded of the fragility of Sagan’s unique ‘pale blue dot’ floating in a vast ocean of stars. We are dancing in the rain. This is our requiem for a dream.”
