Kepler Ten announce new album ‘A New Kind of Sideways’

KEPLER TEN have announced a new album!

Titled A New Kind of Sideways, the upcoming album from the British prog trio is the follow-up to 2017’s Delta-V and is scheduled to be released in November this year, via White Star Records.

The upcoming album is a semi-conceptual album that is humanitarian and philanthropic in its theme. Boasting the message that “as human beings we are all the same and have a duty of care and responsibility towards each other regardless of age, race, gender or sexuality,” KEPLER TEN expresses their frustration that we all bleed the same colour, yet “we seem to spend most of our time finding ways to make life difficult for one another“.

By semi-conceptual, the band have said that although each track on the album stands alone as its own individual entity, the album is encompassed and held together in a cyclical manner by the first and last track. “The second part of the three part closer – One and the Same – is an instrumental section that rewinds back through musical themes from the preceding songs, taking the message and feeling of universality back through the album to that moment of clarity right at the start.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for the first song lifted from the upcoming album; Falling Down. The new music video was first premiered via Prog Magazine.

Speaking about the new song, the band says, “it is about that moment when you completely lose it, not knowing which way is up. Inner turmoil, voices in your head are trying to make sense of everything. Panic, fear, confusion and guilt run unchecked through your mind. Are you who you want to be or have you spent your entire life trying to be who other people think you are, or should be?”
