Khirki release new music video for ‘Father Wind’

KHIRKI have released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track Father Wind, is taken from the Greek heavy rock band’s upcoming new album Κυκεώνας (the follow-up to 2021’s Κτηνωδία), which is scheduled to be released in April this year, via Venerate Industries.

Speaking about the new song, and its accompanying music video, the band says, “during a long drive for a gig, we realized we share a tremendous passion for sea shanties, and Stan Rogers especially. Given that Κυκεώνας is a sea-themed album, Father Wind is our own little sea shanty, a sailor’s prayer so to speak. It starts with him calling out to his higher powers for guidance, then he addresses the crew as an act of encouragement and willpower. We shot the video during a night shift on a fishing boat – yes, a REAL fishing boat- crew and all. It was a truly unique experience, and we think the video came out the same way. Actor Dimitris Petropoulos gives a fantastic performance as the strict yet fragile captain. This song speaks volumes about where we come from and who we are.”
