King Bastard announce new album ‘From Whence They Came’

KING BASTARD have announced a new album!

Titled From Whence They Came, the upcoming album from the Long Island-based progressive doom metal band is the follow-up to 2022’s It Came From The Void, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via self-release.

The upcoming album was recorded and engineered by Colin Marston [GORGUTS] and Mike Verni at Menegroth Studio in Queens, NY, and mixed and mastered by Colin Marston, with artwork by Intuitive Designs.

Speaking about the upcoming album, the band says, “whereas our first album explored space in the form of a disastrous mission to travel to another planet, our sophomore album explores time. Herein lies a sonic chronicling of the origins of humanity from an aggressive, knuckle-walking ape to a collaborative, destructive force of nature set to doom the planet. Tuned to drop-F and utilizing various percussion instruments, this album is intended to bring a new meaning to the term ‘caveman-riffs’.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, KING BASTARD have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; The Dawn Of Man. Speaking about the new song, the band says, The Dawn Of Man describes how language, the essence of humanity, ultimately results in a level of destruction that was impossible to conceive of prior. Through murder and the sixth mass extinction, the human race used the ability to collaborate to destroy themselves and sentence the earth to death.”
