King Woman announce new album ‘Celestial Blues’
KING WOMAN have announced a new album!
Titled Celestial Blues, the upcoming album from the band is the long-awaited follow-up to 2017’s Created In The Image Of Suffering and is scheduled to be released in July this year, via Relapse Records.
The upcoming album was recorded in Oakland, California by Grammy Award-nominated engineer Jack Shirley [DEAFHEAVEN, AMENRA, OATHBREAKER]. The band is rounded out by drummer Joseph Raygoza and guitar player Peter Arensdorf. Visual collaborations featured in the album packaging and surrounding imagery were created by Nedda Afsari, Collin Fletcher, and Jamie Parkhurst.
speaking about the upcoming album, vocalist Kris Esfandiari says, “creating this album has brought me great peace and closure. Grateful to finally share it with all of you.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for the first song lifted from the upcoming release; Morning Star. The new music video was directed by Muted Widows and features a one-take performance from the band.
