Leach announce new EP ‘PSYCHOSOMATIC’
LEACH have announced a brand new EP!
The Gothenburg melodic death metal outfit have revealed their new EP, PSYCHOSOMATIC, which is scheduled for release on October 9th, 2026. The four-track record explores different psychological states associated with mental illness.
Speaking about the EP, the band shares, “we never wanted PSYCHOSOMATIC to be four songs saying ‘mental illness is dark’ in different ways. Each track is meant to capture a different state of actually living through it. From the moment you crack. The ongoing struggle and questioning of yourself and life choices behind. The search for a final release with the potential of driving you back deeper within it.”
To coincide with the announcement, the band have also unveiled SERPENT OF TIME, the first single to be taken from the upcoming EP. Speaking about the new track, the band shares, “intrusive thoughts have this way of making time feel like your enemy. The longer you’re stuck with them, the tighter everything seems to close around you. Time as a circle. But time is also the thing that eventually creates distance from them. The poison and the antidote. That contradiction became the whole idea behind SERPENT OF TIME.”
