Lindy-Fay Hella & Dei Farne announce new album ‘Islet’

LINDY-FAY HELLA & DEI FARNE have announced a new album!

Titled Islet, the upcoming album from the Norwegian collective of Lindy-Fay Hell [WARDRUNA] and DEI FARNE is the follow-up to 2021’s Hildring, and is scheduled to be released in March this year, via By Norse Music.

The music for the upcoming album was mostly written during the COVID-19 pandemic. Roy Ole and Lindy-Fay were sitting in their homes, isolated like most people were at the time, just sending ideas to each other which eventually turned out to be a whole album. They noticed that the sound of it all had a kind of loneliness and coldness to it that they wanted to keep.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the project have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Whisper.

Speaking about the new song, Lindy-Fay says, “it is about the creatures in this world. Those we can feel around us sometimes, but not necessarily see. Who lives within nature. The trolls, the fairies, the mythical once. Every culture have stories about them and suggestions of how to interact or not. In our greedy times, where capitalism’s cold hands are grabbing everything in sight, the existence of these creatures are threatened. “I am in the earth you walk on, in the woods. In the air.”
