Mallory Knox release new song ‘The Dog’

MALLORY KNOX have released a new single!

The Cambridge alternative rock band have unveiled The Dog, their latest single following the return of original vocalist Mikey Chapman. The new track follows Afterglow and continues the band’s current resurgence, showcasing the renewed creative chemistry between Chapman, James Gillett and Dave Rawling.

Speaking about the new single, Chapman explains, “when writing The Dog, I wanted to really explore the duality found in our journeys through life… Ebb and flow are inevitable features of the human experience. You can’t expect the good without the bad, or ease without struggle, for example. It’s very easy to lose sight of this concept, particularly when trying to avoid struggle and pain using vices as means of distraction, or indeed chasing a naive, permanent state of happiness which negates the value of its counterpoint. Ultimately, these attempts to deny the duality through which we all live our lives inevitably bring us back to the need to face the struggle – to find the bravery and humility, responsibility for our own wellbeing, to face the black dog that follows us all. To find ways to make it our friend.”
