Mother Mother announce new album ‘Nostalgia’
MOTHER MOTHER have announced a new album!
Titled Nostalgia, the upcoming album from the Canadian indie rock band is the follow-up to last year’s Grief Chapter, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Parlophone/Warner Records.
“In creating Nostalgia, our goal was to embody a childlike creativity which often becomes elusive as we age and gather too many tricks,” explains frontman Ryan Guldemond about the upcoming album. “We evaluated every creative choice by its emotional impact—whether that was a lyric, a reverb trail or an EQ curve. If something didn’t evoke a strong emotional reaction—we let it go. This approach led to work we genuinely love and take pride in.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a brand new song from the upcoming album; Make Believe.
Speaking about the new song, Guldemond shares, “I indulged a bit in my own life-philosophy on this track. Magical thinking, interconnection, cosmic gallivanting.”
